We're thrilled to announce the latest addition to our line of officially licensed high-end collectibles -- a limited edition Sword Of Omens prop replica from the iconic 1980’s cartoon series, ThunderCats.
It requires a fair degree of artistic interpretation, working hand in hand with the licensor, to take 2D drawings created for animation or toy sculpts, both of which were intended for a less detailed execution, and realize them as fully developed and full-sized real-world items.
One such artistic judgment involves determining the size of a 1:1 scale replica for an animated character. The wielder of the Sword Of Omens, Lion-O, has no official height, so the replica, which measures 41 inches (104 cm) in length, has been scaled to the proportions of an adult human standing 6.2” (1.9m) tall.
Our replica sword is set in an “open” design and features a full-tang stainless steel blade with a mirror-chrome finish, a cast metal hilt with acrylic inserts and enamel detailing. A red imitation gemstone is inset into the pommel.
Each replica also includes a numbered, wall hanging wood display and a certificate of authenticity booklet.
ThunderCats fans can also look forward to future prop replica announcements from us, including Mumm-Ra’s helmet, coming very soon.
CARE & CLEANING
The blade should be polished with a soft dry cloth after a handling, stubborn grime/fingerprints can be removed with a weak solution of mild dish-soap and water applied with a damp cloth, dried and polished off with a soft dry cloth.
The blade has a mirror-polish finish. Do not scrub it. Do not use any chemical cleaner, abrasive polishes or homemade cleaners. (such as backing soda, vinegar or ammonia.)
The Eye of Thundera is acrylic and should only be cleaned with specialist acrylic cleaners and polishes, great care should be taken not to scratch either of the acrylic domes.
The entire replica will benefit from the occasional light dusting with a feather duster, antistatic dusting wand or canned air duster.
Always remove the replica from the wall hanging plaque when cleaning or dusting.

- Deposits If specified on the payment page for the product, a non-refunable deposit may be required to hold a pre-order. A non-refundable deposit will not be refunded any circumstances, unless the product is canceled by Factory Entertainment, Inc.
Single Payment & Payment Plan Details If you selected the "Single Payment" option when adding an in stock item to your cart, your account will be authorized and charged after your order is placed for that item. If you selected the "Single Payment" option when adding a pre-order item to your cart, your payment method will not be charged at that time, unless a non-refundable deposit is required. You will be charged the balance and will receive a separate email with tracking information for your shipment once the item(s) ships. Expected availability status is located on each product page beneath the price and above the Product Code.
If you selected "Payment Plan" when adding an in stock or pre-order item to your cart, you will be charged the initial installment and any applicable shipping and taxes during checkout. However, if you selected "Payment Plan" when adding a pre-order item to your cart that is not expected to ship within approximately three months from the date of order, you will only be charged the applicable non-refundable deposit during checkout and you will be charged the initial installment and any applicable shipping and taxes approximately three months prior to the expected ship date (please note that actual ship dates may be later than expected ship dates). All remaining installments will be charged monthly after the initial installment until the balance is paid. If a non-refundable deposit was charged at the time of checkout, it will be applied against the final installment. The initial installment is non-refundable in the event of order cancelation, return, or default on future installments.
In stock items on a payment plan will ship once the full balance for the item has been paid in full. Pre-order items on a payment plan will ship once the full balance for the item has been paid in full and once the product arrives in stock. If your order contains both in stock and pre-order items, we will ship the in stock items when the balance is paid in full and the pre-order items will follow in as a separate shipment when they arrive in stock and once the balance is paid in full. The status for the order in your factoryent.com account screens will show as shipped; this only refers to the in stock items.
